I read books in all genres and for all ages but I write picture books.

Picture books are a child's first introduction to language and art. They are a window to the world around them and their connection to it. At a time when young minds are most receptive, picture books open the door to endless wondering and possibilities.

Yup, picture books are powerful. That's why I write for the age group that loves them as much as I do.

Dr. Maya Angelou said, “I’ve learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel."

Certainly,  children will never forget the comforting feeling of cozying up to share a picture book.  And how about that powerful feeling when they can finally read that book all by themselves?
